CERTIFICATION IN ISLAMIC BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES (CeIBFT)
This course aims to provides participants a comprehensive understanding of the digital economy landscape across the globe, focusing on the predominantly Muslim societies. It seeks to introduce block chain and other cutting-edge technologies in a non-technical manner as also the basic building blocks of IBFTech, such as, platforms, crypto assets, tokens, and digital identities. It discusses various use cases of IBFTech in the halal supply chain as well as in the for-profit and not-for-profit segments of Islamic finance. It highlights the key Shariah issues and regulatory concerns and undertakes a discussion of sample IBFTech regulations that capture these concerns.

CERTIFICATION IN ISLAMIC FINANCIAL SERVICES (CeIFS)
This foundation level course is about products, processes and mechanisms used in the Islamic financial services industry. It provides an easy-to-understand discussion of basic Shariah norms governing Islamic finance and how financial products and processes can be designed and developed as solutions to problems and as responses to profit opportunities and need for Shariah compliance. It also provides a framework to evaluate existing and conventional financial products and services from a Shariah point of view, to isolate major elements and features that violate the Shariah and identify the Islamic alternative.

This course aims to provides participants a comprehensive understanding of the building blocks of a microfinance program targeted at Islamic societies. It asserts that there are no fundamental contradictions in the objectives of global microfinance programs and of the glorious Islamic Shariah, though the methodology of latter may have certain distinct characteristics. The course seeks to present the Islamic approach as a composite and compassionate one that is rooted in charity but permits wealth creation and for-profit enterprise. Spanning over five units, it focuses on the mechanisms, models, tools, and instruments of the Islamic approach as prescribed by the glorious Shariah.

Awqaf is all about creating sustainable entities. They are governed by the fundamental principles of perpetuity, inalienability, and irrevocability. The institution of waqf offers a powerful mechanism to generate sustainable resources. The endowed assets could be dedicated to providing a range of public benefits. However, the potential of waqf in providing for a sustainable source of funding for socio-economic development of Muslim societies remains largely untapped. Contemporary developments in the Islamic finance sector have opened up many possibilities in terms of new structures for financing development of waqf assets. This course seeks to develop a cadre of professionals who are Certified in Waqf Management (CeWM) to address the challenge of human resource development for the Islamic charity-based and not-for-profit organizations.
